the first vinyl record from betagamma bears the name of the most extraordinary and fascinating reptile. it is no coincidence. the imprint is given by both betagammas main occupation and his love of minimalism and techno. either way, the track references science. a slightly oddish, popping groove as if someone opened up a terrarium cage. the record features interesting and crazy remixes, clearly everyone has their own geckos in the attic.

nobody knows where these guys were beforehand, but this record is a real hit. a new release has emerged from an equally new label - detroit techno archive it reflects the labels name perfectly. the 12inch recording includes six wonderful detroit techno tracks, from a couple of artists. the first associations that come to mind are detroit legends like underground resistance, derrick may, stacey pullen, kenny larkin, and octave one. youll find some old-school techno with a rich groove, multilayered melodies, and some great stories behind them. this is real hi-tech jazz.

next up on !organism is italian techno purist vincenzo palumbo aka irregular synth - a producer whos unwavering focus on the dancefloor has shot him up through the ranks in recent years. his boisterous synthetic sounds come on labels like perfekt groove recordings and the likes of richie hawtin support almost everything he releases. here forest people are also enlisted to remix. another fine paring on organism! that matches the veteran skills of irregular synth with the soon to break through ideals of forest people.
